Urs-e-Shareef Celebrations of Kasumuru Shareef

Dear Devotees,

The Urs-e-Shareef or Sandal is celebrated on the 26th day of the auspicious period of "Rabbi-ul-awal" every year. 

Large number of devotees congregate at the Kasmuru Dargah Shareef of "Hazrath Kale Shah Peer Mastan Vali (RA)" on the occasion of Urs irrespective or caste of creed or religion. 

So Kasumuru is a very famous place of pilgrimage ‘Urs-e-Shareef Celebrations of Kasumuru Shareef’ (Sandal festival) for people of all religions.

At the Dargah on the occasion of Urs irrespective or caste of creed or religion. ... Comes to this place in the month of October to March every year. The annual festival of the deity celebrated during the April-May. 

The yearly Sandal Festival at Kasmuru is perfomed on 26th Rabbiul Awwal, the same day as the sandal of Rahmatabad is performed. 

The only differrence being that the sandal at Rahmatabad is celeberated after midnight while that of Kasmuru is celeberated just before the dawn prayers.

The 233^rd Sandal Festival was held on March 2011. We are heartfully waiting for this year Sandal Festival (that is going to be 234^th sandal festival in 2012) to celebrate this wonderfull festival wihout any obstacles.

Many devotees not only from Andhara Pradesh, but also from Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Kerala visit this dargah and receive the blessings from "Hazarath Syed Kareem Ulla Shah Qadri (RA)".

Urs ( Sandal festival )happens on 26th day of the Urs-e-shareef and is celebrated in the auspicious month of “Rabbi-ul-awal” which falls under the month of March under English calendar. At this time people congregate in large gatherings to visit this place.
